Golf Day at Portsea

Please be at the Portsea Golf Club no later than 9.35am. We have five groups of four hitting off from the first tee at 9.51am.  The club house has a good lunch menu or alternatively we could go down to the Portsea pub for a beer after the game.

Competitions

• Individual stableford (Members only) Winner – 4 balls
• Individual stableford (Members only) Runner up – 2 balls
• Pairs 4BBB (best stableford score on each hole counts) – 2 balls each
  • Toss the balls to select the pairs
  • If any group has only three players take the best stableford score of the three players (and I may make a small adjustment depending on the final outcome!)
• Best score by a Guest – 2 balls
• Nearest the Pin – 1 ball
• Longest Drive – 1 ball

Notes

1. The “faceless handicapper” has gone absent without leave. Nevertheless his delegate’s decision on all matters is final. Where we have no prior ‘form’ we ask that you use your official club handicap. If you do not have an official handicap make a sensible and fair assessment. The “faceless handicapper” will assess your form as soon as we have an opportunity to see you in action.
2. Could the captain of each group make sure that the cards are correctly completed for individuals and pairs and hand them to Barry Carr as soon as possible after completing the round.
3. Cost for the day is $60.00. Please DO NOT pay the club but pay Martin Fuggle.
4. Carts - I booked two carts which is what we normally use and have been unable to get any more. The Portsea Golf Club has a small number of carts and they are all booked on the day.
