Harlequin Rugby Club, better known as "Quins”, was formed in 1928 and is one of Melbourne’s leading clubs offering a complete rugby club environment from Under 6 to Senior ‘Premier’ Division rugby.

Boasting the competition’s premier playing and social club facilities, Quins prides itself on playing attacking rugby with a strong club spirit producing a successful and enjoyable atmosphere for both players and supporters alike. New players and supporters are welcome at any stage of the season and it would be great to have you as a Harlequin in 2010.

Seven Australian Expressions of interest received for 15th Super Rugby Team

The Australian Rugby Union has received, on behalf of the SANZAR joint venture, seven Expressions of Interest from domestic parties wanting to establish the 15th Super Rugby team when the competition expands to include an additional side in 2011.

Problems associated with the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 (IE8)

A number of people have reported that they have experienced random problems when using the Quins website.  The circumstances have been difficult to track down but it transpires that the problems are only being experienced by people using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).

Wayne Smith's article in the Australian (8th July,2009)

You may have read Wayne Smith's article in today's edition of The Australian.  A good deal of Smith's article is devoted to summarising the views of Moorabbin President, Steve Curnow, who opines that 'Victorian rugby is in a shambles'; that our union has 'become the laughing stock of Australian rugby'; and that a 'Super XV team based in Melbourne will be injurious to Victorian rugby'.  Curnow had also earlier circulated a resolution calling for a Special General Meeting of the Union to depose Gary Gray, the President of the Victorian Rugby Union (VRU).

The expansion Super Rugby side will commence competition in 2011.  We are seeking investment from friends of Victorian Rugby Union - individuals and companies - to build a fighting fund to ensure that we are never left to sit on the side lines again.
