2008 GRAND FINAL results


1st Grade

  • For the 3rd time in four years the Quins 1st XV fell agonizingly close in securing the premiership, losing 15-14 to Powerhouse. After jumping away to an early 5-0 lead, Powerhouse came back strongly to lead at half time by 15-8. Quins scored the only points in the 2nd half - but to no avail. For the 3rd time in a row Quins lost a player within the first 3 minutes of the match with standout winger Jay Graham going off with a badly rolled ankle. This was in addition to losing backline ace Marty Foreman the day prior to the game from a work accident.

2nd Grade

  • 2nd Grade flew the flag for the club winning our 16th Premiership in the grade and 2nd in three years.  Leading minor premiers Box Hill from the start of the game they won 25-13 for a comprehensive  victory.

3rd Grade

  • 3rd Grade featured on Grand Final day for the first time in a number of years, easily beating Moorabbin in the 3rd Grade ‘Division 2’ Grand Final 27-0. A great result with the team wining their last 8 games straight to win the title.
