Harlequins 2nds have made a slow to the season and needed a win to keep in touch with the top 4 teams. Melbourne Uni were sitting above them in the table and had shown some form in the earlier rounds. Uni started with the wind but were put under some pressure by Harlequins early on but were able to hold them out and once they got hold of the ball managed to make some in roads around the ruck. Uni worked their way down the field and muscled over by the posts which was converted and later added a penalty to take a 10-0 lead into the break.

Harlequins had their work cut out and need to put in a big second half performance. The beginning of the half saw neither team take control until Uni kicked open and Harlequins had a chance to counter attack. Michael Rabach gathered the ball and beat 3 defenders to scored just wide of the posts. Emil Vartazarian added the conversion. Harlequins defended strongly and used the wind well to play good field position. This enable them to put pressure on Uni who gave away two penalties that Vartazaian slotted between the uprights. Harlequins then managed to hold Uni out to win 13 -10 for a well deserved win.
